Given during the last years of his life, these powerful words of rebuke were delivered to a Church in which many began to believe that they were rich with knowledge and increased with spiritual goods, but were in fact letting down, compromising and becoming lukewarm. In this sermon, Mr. Armstrong explains how God brought him back from death's door to correct the Church and to put it back on track. Those who are aware of the happenings during this period, as well as the events to follow, can clearly see that, through Mr. Armstrong, Christ revealed the beginning of the Laodicean era. By studying these events, and reflecting on this sermon, we can understand how the attitude and changes that began at that time have greatly affected the Church of God to this very day. We strongly encourage everyone to take heed to the words of Christ (Rev. 3:13-22) as well as the words of the apostle He sent to warn His Church at the end.
